Darth Vader FX Lightsaber – A Kid’s Dream Come True

Many moons ago when I first saw the Star Wars films I always thought it would be cool to own a real lightsaber such as the Darth Vader FX Lightsaber. These tools are the principle weapons of both the Jedi and the Sith. The replicas that you can purchase nowadays are near enough perfect replicas of the ones you see in the movies and are becoming quite a collectors item among Star wars fans.

Iconic Beach Girl

Michelle Phillips was the original BoHo babe, the first real flower-child. Her long sun-kissed blonde hair made her look like she’d just left the beach or rolled out of bed; her green eyes so distinctive and piercing she shunned the heavy eyeliner of the times others like Dusty used to emphasize them. No matter if she might have been up all night, Michelle somehow always looked sunny, fresh and natural–her beauty so evanescent that she inspired then-estranged husband John to yearn for her in songs he wrote for her like ‘Go Where you Wanna Go’ and ‘I Saw Her Again’.

Gossip Girl Episode 2 – The Freshmen

Ah….Gossip Girl fans, it’s back to school time and you know what that means. Wal-Mart, Kmart and leafing through circulars to find the best clothing deals? Maybe for us Gossip Girl fans, but not for our friends on the Upper East Side. It’s orientation week, and this season 3 episode 2, “The Freshmen”, proves that Gossip Girl isn’t always the drama instigator.

Brock the Rock Pokemon Trainer

Brock’s name probably came from the word rock. He is gym leader of Pewter city and as mentioned he battles with rock type Pokemon. These are hardened Pokemon which have a very high level of defense. Rock Pokemon are however weakened by water based attacks as such attacks serve to wash away the tough rock shields of the Pokemon.

Bored to Death is a Great New Show

Every year, it seems like a new television show comes out that grips its viewers and immediately pulls them in. It looks as if the comedy for 2009 that does this will be Bored to Death, a new series on HBO that broadcasts every Sunday night. While I don’t watch the episodes live, I’ve caught all three episodes so far on demand, and I’ve absolutely loved every one of them.

“NCIS – Los Angeles” Might Be the First to Go

At least from my DVR, that is. I had misgivings about this show from the beginning. I don’t like the idea of this show piggy-backing on my beloved “NCIS,” and I don’t care for the new location or group of people.

Music in Gossip Girl Episode 2 – The Freshmen

Gossip Girl fans and foes alike can agree on one thing: Music from Gossip Girl is usually pretty hot. Gossip Girl is no stranger to featuring local New York talent in its episodes. The show is very popular, so imagine what being featured in a Gossip Girl episode could do for a band’s exposure!

Curb Your Enthusiasm is Funnier Than Seinfeld

It took a long time before I was ready to say this with confidence, but I think I’m just about ready to come out and say it. I think that Curb Your Enthusiasm is a funnier show than Seinfeld was. And I’m sure about this.

What Was the Best 1990s Teen Show?

There were some great teen shows in the 1990s. By teen shows, I mean TV shows that involved main characters who were somewhere between the age of 13 and 19. I’ll give you a few examples of these.

TV Review – “The Good Wife”

I just finished watching “The Good Wife” pilot. It was good, but a lot different than I expected. I was actually wondering how they were going to turn this premise into an interesting drama. I mean, how long can you drag out the whole “stand by your man” theme?

Hey Dude – A Forgotten Nickelodeon Classic

Hey Dude was a Western comedy television show on Nickelodeon. Only three seasons exist, and they aired from 1989-1991. It was officially known as Nickelodeon’s first live action series original to the channel’s lineup.

Is Entourage on the Way Down?

One of my favorite shows for the last few years has been Entourage. I’m not exactly sure how many seasons it’s been by now, but I’d have to guess that it’s at least the 5th season of this great show. This comedy is always sure to put a smile on my face, and it’s such great fun watching Vince, Johnny Drama, Eric, Turtle, Ari, and the rest of the crew living through their interesting experiences every week.
