According to the New York Times and TV Guide Oprah Winfrey’s new-age spiritualism and political persuasion is jeopardizing her marketability in the media, thereby diminishing her status. Iron Man the Movie and the Technological Reality That Cometh

Science Fiction Action Movies are one of the coolest genres indeed. Personally, perhaps like for you, they are my all-time favorites. We have all heard the hype about “Iron Man” and so, I got bored and went to see that movie; “Iron Man” and it was interesting.

Skins Season 1 – DVD Review

Possibly the best comedy-drama to come out of Britain in some time (well can you name any others?), Skins follows a diverse group of Bristol 17-year-olds and their hedonistic lives. Each episode focuses on one teen at a time – the homosexual boy, the anorexic chick, the screw-up etc – delving into the frustrations of being on the verge of adulthood but not quite. The leader of the pack is Tony Stonem (Nicholas Hoult – yes that kid from About A Boy and oh how he has grown), a nasty, narcissistic Nietzsche/Sartre reading teen who uses his charm and intellect to dominate everything everything around him and basically get away with murder (not literally of course).

Vantage Point an Awesome Adrenaline Movie to Watch on DVD Despite Plotholes

I’m constantly amazed at how truly entertaining movies with no redeeming social value always seem to get lousy newspaper reviews while artsy fartsy movies get great reviews. “Vantage Point” is the opposite of a chick flick, it’s the kind of movie guys who like an adrenaline energy rush, love and cool, hip women like but uptight women probably hate even though there was no sex or sexual exploitation in it. Oh well, you can’t have everything!

It is thought that Racing the Monsoon will be an action adventure movie that tells the story of a diamond heist that takes place onboard an Indian train. The film signifies the first fully-fledged Hollywood-Bollywood co-production to date.

The Music in Gossip Girl Episode 14 – “The Blair Bitch Project”

Moon River is one of the most memorable songs from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and it is fitting that the Blair’s own Breakfast scene opened with the tunes from Moon River. In fact, all the songs paired to Blair’s scenes are right on. Other songs and groups featured on Gossip Girl in this episode that you should look out for are; Rippin’ Up The Disco by Kylie Minogue, Drive Me Crazy by Miss Eighty 6 and finally On the Run by Classic.

The Music in Gossip Girl Episode 15 – “Desperately Seeking Serena”

Gossip Girl continues to bring fresh music to each and every episode from a roundup of indie bands just making a name for themselves or already favorites with a huge fan following. In Desperately Seeking Serena, the music is loud and rocking, but every song has just the perfect lyrics to capture the mood of each scene. Here are the songs played, the bands that played them and where each tune was played in this episode of Gossip Girl.

The Music in Gossip Girl Episode 16 – “All About My Brother”

Great drama needs great music, and that is exactly what this episode delivers. True to every other episode new music accompanies scenes, and then there are the familiar tunes to even out the show.

The Music in Gossip Girl Episode 17 – “Woman on the Verge”

Woman On The Verge is a pretty hefty episode, and the music choices are as varied as the emotions and roles that each character takes on. The sounds of jazz and soothing melodies paired with touching lyrics fill the silence. As a bonus, GG band, Lincoln Hawk plays a cover of Pieces of Me by Song and Wagner. The band is playing the song at the very end of the episode, when Georgina has left the concert with Dan and the rest of the gang arrives at the concert to confront her.

The Music in Gossip Girl Episode 18 – “Much ‘I Do’ About Nothing” Season Finale

Much of the final episode of Gossip Girl revolves around the wedding of Lily and Bert, so understandably there is a lot of classical music used in the scenes. But, there is enough room to squeeze in a few pop songs and the choices aren’t all that bad. Some of the groups already have a lot of exposure, but one or two of the selections feature new sounds.
